A COMPLIMENT FOR THE OKC STAFF

Just wanted to take a minute at the end of a busy day to share a compliment I received today in the OKC office. Back in January, we got a referral for a new patient. The patient’s sister had heard great things about Mays from another patient we have on services. The sister actually came to our office asking for our help. The patient had been on services with another home health and they were very unhappy with that company.  We went through the appropriate notification processes and admitted the patient the next week. Sadly, the patient passed away this past weekend.

Now the good part….

The patient’s sister called me this morning just to let me know what a wonderful job the nurses and the home health aides have done, how excellent she felt the care her sister received was, and how much she appreciated all of the girls that worked for Mays right on down to “the little girls who answer the phones”. She also told me that she would always remember everything Mays had done, the consideration and respect we had shown her sister and the family, and what a great job we had done with her sister’s wounds. She then told me that we had truly made a difference in all of their lives and that she would recommend Mays to everyone she knew!

Although we all try to do our best every day, we don’t always hear about it. I just wanted to pass this on to remind everybody that what we do does make a difference in our patients lives.  I also wanted to say GREAT JOB to the staff in OKC involved in providing care for this patient and family. Keep up the good work Girls!
